I have this theory...
the more extreme your faith is, the more extreme your experience of God will be.
As you draw near to Him, He draws nearer to you.
We're constantly hearing all these miraculous stories about people of faith in persecuted countries where being a Christian is illegal.. and I think Wow..why isn't my life like that? But I found the answer tonight.
Here, faith is acceptable. Faith is diminished to less than it should be. Faith is a habit, a routine. Faith just is.
If we expect BIG things, God will move in BIG ways.. but if we're not even paying attention, then we won't notice it.
we have to LIVE GOD LOUD. and I don't think we do that often enough..at least I don't.
Another thing, if God is ALMIGHTY in my life, that means I have to believe He is MIGHTY IN ALL THINGS. Not just some things, not with the exception of one thing, ALL THINGS.
This morning I stayed home from church because my mom was going to a new church because someone who comes in to the restaurant invited her there. I really wasn't feeling it because I knew it was more traditional, small and mostly an elderly congregation (which doesn't mean it can't still be a great church, just not one I would expect to relate to)...So I told my mom I'd stay at home, and I watched a couple sermons on t.v because my mom likes 2 certain speakers Creflo Dollar, and some other Texan dude, Joel Osteen. Anyways, I don't normally like watching sermons on t.v because there's that whole issue about t.v evangelists and whatnot, but I think they both are amazing speakers. I got a lot out of them so when I flipped to global to put in a video of some t.v show my mom had taped me, I found "hour of power" and I laughed because the girl from first season Laguna Beach...er..Christina... her dad is the minister, so I watched part of it for kicks. The one part that stood out was when he told them all to turn on their cell phones and call someone important to them and say "God is working in you" in the middle of church. Now when does a minister ever tell you to turn your cell phone on? And anyway I was just blessed with that because then he said now say to yourself "God is at work in me" and believe it. If you don't expect it, don't believe it, it will go unnoticed.
So two things:
1. God is almighty
2. God is at work in me.
God is mighty over all things, including my future, possible relationships, the right guy, my insecurities (He will heal them). . . because GOD is at work IN ME.
Be Blessed....dream big dreams. LIVE GOD LOUD.

AMEN.
Wow good blog..
There is some great insight in these words Chelle and thank you for that.
Your right our faith here is acceptable we dont' have to live day to day trying to hide it and its just a part of everyday life, I know that more often than not I don't notice it in my life, i just am oblivious to it sometimes and pass it on by. I struggle with expecting BIG things tho, and learning and believing that he is ALMIGHTY over every part of my life and not just some of them like you. God is at work in all of us and its awesome but I need to change my thought process to God can do the impossible, and believing in him with everything I've got, cuz I don't always!
When we believe we will recieve.
We need to change our hearts and think about what we really believe in and then we need to believe in it with our whole hearts, mind and soul!
Sermon was good tnite... It always teaches me something, that's why i love it soo much.
Be blessed Chelle and keep dreaming big and living GOD LOUD!
i'm praying for you
